The government has stated that “unprovoked action along the Pakistan–Afghanistan border” by the Afghan Taliban is being met with an immediate and effective response.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Information, the Taliban “miscalculated and opened unprovoked fire on multiple locations along the Pakistan–Afghanistan border in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,” prompting Pakistan’s security forces to respond swiftly and decisively.

The ministry emphasized that all cross-border incidents are being addressed promptly to ensure the safety and security of border communities.
The operation is named as Operation Ghazab Lil Haqq.
It emerged that the security forces have delivered a strong response to Taliban attacks along the border sectors of Chitral, Khyber, Mohmand, Kurram, and Bajaur.
Initial reports indicate that the Afghan Taliban suffered significant casualties, with multiple checkpoints and equipment destroyed during the engagements. Pakistani forces acted decisively to repel the attacks, reinforcing the country’s commitment to securing its border regions.
Authorities continue to monitor the situation closely and have stated that all necessary measures are being taken to prevent further cross-border incidents.
