Former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Khan Afridi has launched a sharp attack on T20I captain Salman Ali Agha following Pakistan’s defeat to England in the Super 8 stage.
Speaking on Samaa TV programme ‘Zor Ka Jor’, Afridi said the captaincy had let the side down and claimed Salman had delivered no personal performance.
“Half measures will not suffice,” Afridi said, adding that the team lacked a strong all-rounder.
He said a side built on compromise could not progress at the highest level.
Former cricketer Tauseef Ahmed also expressed concern, adding that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) must impose strict discipline on players.
He said any player who fails to perform should face financial penalties.
