The government had agreed to transfer Imran Khan to Shifa Hospital for an eye examination, sources disclosed.
Sources divulged that the government was also ready to send Dr Nadeem Qureshi to examine PTI founder Imran Khan. However, on the recommendation of Khan’s sisters, the nomination of Dr Nosherwan Burki did not advance matters, sources said.
The government was prepared to allow opposition leaders access to Imran Khan in jail for meetings, sources added.
During the protest sit-in, contacts occurred between Sohail Afridi and Barrister Gohar with government circles, sources disclosed.
Raja Nasir Abbas suggested offering a goat in charity after doctors confirmed their satisfaction, sources said.
