A provisional charge sheet in the murder case registered at Baghdadi police station against alleged narcotics dealer Anmol, alias Pinky, has been submitted to the prosecution by the investigating officer.
According to the charge sheet, on May 7 the complainant in the case was passing along Haji Peer Muhammad Road on motorcycle business when he saw the body of a man lying on the pavement, with people gathered around it.
According to the complainant, with the help of rescue personnel he shifted the body by ambulance to Baghdadi police station, where during inspection the police recovered a small box from the pocket of the deceased.
The charge sheet states that on the golden-coloured box was written: “Queen Madam Pinky, Don naam hi kaafi, enjoy.” On seeking further information, it was learnt that Anmol, alias Pinky, is involved in the sale of narcotics.
According to the investigating officer, the investigation against the accused woman has not yet been completed; however, upon expiry of the statutory period, the provisional charge sheet is being submitted.
On the other hand, the prosecution says that scrutiny of the provisional charge sheet is under way, during which defects and shortcomings on the part of the investigating officer will be rectified. After completion of scrutiny, the provisional charge sheet will be submitted before the judicial magistrate.
It is pertinent to mention that a case has been registered at Baghdadi police station against the accused Anmol, alias Pinky, on the complaint of Shehroz, a resident of Lines Area.
