Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has taken a significant step to improve governance by establishing a coordination system between the federation and provinces.
The move aims to enhance service delivery across key ministries and institutions.
The Prime Minister has appointed Mohiuddin Ahmed Wani as the National Coordinator for Khidmat Centers. The Coordinator’s primary responsibility will be to oversee and ensure effective coordination between federal and provincial governments.
This initiative will focus on monitoring the performance of Khidmat Centers nationwide, aiming to provide smoother public services and reduce bureaucratic delays.
Digital coordination
A key feature of the new system is promoting digital coordination among ministries and institutions. Obstacles and challenges in inter-ministerial operations will be identified and reported directly to the Prime Minister’s Office for swift resolution.
The National Coordinator will submit regular updates and progress reports to Shahbaz Sharif, ensuring accountability and transparency in government services.
The Prime Minister’s House has instructed all relevant institutions to fully support the National Coordinator in executing these responsibilities. This directive ensures that the newly established coordination system functions efficiently and delivers the intended improvements in public service.
