At least six people, including women and children, were killed when armed men attacked a house in the Minaz locality of Kech district’s Buleda tehsil, Balochistan, police confirmed.
The assailants reportedly opened fire and hurled mortar shells at the residence before fleeing the scene.
According to police, the attack took place in the Buleda tehsil of Turbat, where unidentified armed attackers targeted a house.
The deceased were identified as Muslim, Mullah Yousuf, Fazila, Gul Naz, Changaiz, and Zahra. Police said Abdul Ghaffar, along with his daughters Sarah and Ayesha, sustained injuries in the attack.
Bodies shifted to hospital
The bodies of the deceased and the injured were shifted to a nearby hospital for medical assistance and legal formalities. Authorities confirmed that the attackers fled the area after carrying out the assault.
House set on fire
Reports indicate that the house was set on fire along with the residents during the attack. Describing the incident as an act of brutality, officials said six innocent people, including children and women, were brutally killed.
“This is not a struggle; this is open brutality,” a statement said, adding that the attack shows terrorist elements neither respect Baloch traditions nor human values.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident to identify and apprehend those responsible. The attack has sparked outrage in the region, with calls for justice for the innocent family targeted in the assault.
