Fast bowler Mohammad Amir has joined Nottinghamshire as a domestic player for the remainder of the Vitality Blast.

Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club confirmed that a short-term deal has been agreed with Mohammad Amir for the remaining matches of the competition. The club welcomed him to the squad and stated that he would be available as a local player due to his British passport.

Amir expressed his satisfaction at joining Nottinghamshire for the Vitality Blast, saying he was pleased to be part of the side and was looking forward to playing. He added that he had heard much about the club and was eager to take part in the competition.

It is noted that the former Pakistan fast bowler has become a British citizen and has been issued a British passport by the authorities in the United Kingdom. This status allows him to be registered as a domestic cricketer.
