Joseph McGrail-Bateup has secured the title of the person with the loudest voice in the world.
Guinness World Records has recognised the 58-year-old as the holder of the world record for the loudest human voice.
Joseph McGrail-Bateup's throat sound reaches 122.4 decibels
Joseph McGrail-Bateup can produce a sound measuring 122.4 decibels from his throat, a level comparable to the noise of a jet aircraft during take-off or an ambulance siren.
Speaking about the achievement, he said he had received no special training to set the world record.
Exceptionally loud voice sets record
He said there was no method through which a person could practise for such a record, adding that it could only be achieved by someone who naturally possesses an exceptionally loud voice.
The previous record was set in 1994 by Northern Ireland school teacher Annalisa Flanagan, who produced a sound measuring 121.7 decibels.
