Iran has launched a missile strike on southern Israel’s city of Beersheba, in what officials in Tehran describe as a "measured response" to continued Israeli military aggression across the region.
The missile reportedly caused a direct hit, resulting in fires and structural damage, with Israeli authorities confirming at least six people sustained light injuries.
The strike, confirmed by Iranian state media, comes amid heightened regional tensions following multiple Israeli air raids on Iranian territory, including overnight attacks on the capital, Tehran.

According to the Iranian Ministry of Defence, the Israeli operations — involving over 60 fighter jets and 120 munitions — targeted industrial zones, but also caused significant civilian casualties.
Iranian officials have condemned what they call “unprovoked and unlawful Israeli aggression,” stating that their military action was a defensive measure meant to deter further attacks.
A spokesperson for Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said the strike was "carefully calibrated to target military infrastructure, not civilians."
In the aftermath of the missile strike, Israeli emergency services rushed to the affected area in Beersheba.
Fires broke out and thick smoke could be seen rising, while the city’s northern train station was temporarily shut down. The municipality has urged residents to stay clear of the impact zone as emergency and security teams conduct operations.
Meanwhile, Iran has also condemned Israeli operations in Gaza, where at least 34 Palestinians have been killed since midnight, including 23 people reportedly shot while seeking aid near the Netzarim Corridor. Iranian leaders say such incidents further expose Israel’s disregard for human life and international law.

Iranian Foreign Ministry called on the international community to intervene, warning that continued Israeli escalations could push the region into a broader war. As tensions rise, global powers — including the UK and the US — are being urged to support a diplomatic resolution before the window for peace closes.
US President Donald Trump is expected to decide within the next two weeks whether the United States will engage militarily in the ongoing Israel-Iran conflict, the White House said on Wednesday.
In a statement to reporters, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said President Trump was weighing the possibility of US involvement, citing the potential for diplomatic engagement with Tehran.
“Based on the fact that there’s a substantial chance of negotiations that may or may not take place with Iran in the near future, I will make my decision whether or not to go within the next two weeks,” Leavitt quoted the president as saying.
