Price falls sharply after Iran-US war ends
Jet fuel prices had surged dramatically due to the Iran-US war, reaching a record high of Rs517 per litre. However, after the war stopped, the price of jet fuel has now fallen by Rs278.13 per litre.
The sharp decline reflects easing pressure on global oil markets and improved supply conditions following the end of hostilities.
The latest reduction is being seen as a significant relief measure for airlines operating in Pakistan. Lower jet fuel costs are likely to reduce financial pressure on carriers and may help improve passenger affordability through reduced airfares.
