Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has decided to nominate PPP Gilgit-Baltistan President Amjad Hussain Advocate for the post of Chief Minister.
The decision comes amid ongoing political consultations on government formation in the region.
According to PPP Gilgit-Baltistan Information Secretary Sadia Danish, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari personally contacted Amjad Hussain Advocate and conveyed key instructions regarding government formation.
The PPP leadership has reportedly finalized Amjad Advocate as its candidate for Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan.
Instructions on government formation
During the communication, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also issued directives regarding the formation of the upcoming government in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Party sources said the instructions emphasized political cooperation and coordination for establishing a stable administration in the region.
It has also been indicated that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and PPP have reached an understanding regarding government formation.
Bilawal Bhutto directed the nominated leadership to prioritize the protection of constitutional, democratic, and economic rights of the people of Gilgit-Baltistan.
He stressed the need for effective implementation of public welfare policies and ensuring that governance benefits reach the grassroots level.
