Adviser to the prime minister on political affairs, Rana Sanaullah said on Sunday that efforts by Pakistan’s leadership helped prevent the world from slipping towards a third world war.
Speaking at the Parliament House, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) stalwart said that once sanctions on Iran are lifted, energy schemes in the region would be able to progress more rapidly. He stated that easing of sanctions on Iran could allow regional energy projects to move forward.
He added that the revival of the Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline project could help reduce the energy crisis.
Sanaullah terms Modi, Netanyahu as ‘unfortunate leaders’
Sanaullah referred to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as “unfortunate leaders”, saying that only these two leaders wished to keep war ongoing across the world. He expressed hope that Pakistan’s efforts in the Iran-US peace understanding would lead to lasting peace, benefiting both the region and the wider world.
PML-N stalwart says AJK's issues to be resolved by elected leadership
The prime minister’s aide said that all issues concerning Azad Jammu and Kashmir would be resolved by its elected leadership. He added that the prime minister had once again invited the opposition for talks, expressing hope that a positive response would be received this time.
