Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi arrived in Tehran on Saturday, where he held separate meetings with Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi to discuss bilateral relations and the evolving regional situation.
The meetings focused on Pakistan-Iran cooperation, regional peace efforts, and developments following the recent US-Iran agreement.
Upon his arrival in the Iranian capital, Naqvi was warmly received at the airport by Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni.
The two leaders later held a meeting in which they exchanged views on the current regional situation and matters of mutual interest.

Regional developments discussed
During their discussions, the Pakistani and Iranian interior ministers reviewed the latest developments in the region. Both sides described the recent US-Iran agreement as a positive step toward achieving lasting peace and stability in the region.
The ministers emphasized the importance of dialogue and diplomacy in addressing regional challenges and promoting long-term peace.
Meeting with Araghchi
According to the Iranian News Agency, Naqvi also met Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi during his visit. He had arrived at the Iranian Foreign Ministry, where he was welcomed by Araghchi before the two officials held detailed talks.
The meeting between Mohsin Naqvi and Abbas Araghchi focused on Pakistan-Iran relations and ways to further strengthen bilateral cooperation. The two sides also discussed the current regional situation in the aftermath of the recent agreement and exchanged views on issues of mutual concern.
Earlier, Naqvi reached the Iranian city of Mashhad from Pakistan, Iranian media reported. During his visit, Naqvi is also expected to visit the holy shrine of Imam Reza during his stay in Mashhad.
The interior minister will congratulate Iranian officials on the signing of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the US and discuss the next phase of the process, according to Iranian media.
The visit comes as Pakistan continues its diplomatic engagement around ongoing negotiations between Iran and the United States.
