Swiss Vice-President and Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis has praised Pakistan’s role in supporting the implementation of the Iran-United States Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
Speaking after a meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at Bürgenstock, Cassis said Switzerland values Pakistan’s important contribution to continued discussions on the implementation of the agreed US-Iran MoU.

He said Pakistan is also playing a part in efforts related to the implementation of the memorandum. The Swiss foreign minister stated that Switzerland supports initiatives aimed at de-escalation, regional stability and lasting peace.
Cassis noted that Switzerland, as a country that places great importance on mediation, dialogue and good offices, appreciates Pakistan’s role in advancing diplomatic engagement and reducing tensions in the region.
