Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis has said that being useful in an unsettled world is the best way to contribute to global peace and stability.
He made the remarks during a meeting with United States Vice President JD Vance on the sidelines of a quadripartite summit at Buergenstock. Cassis said that the two sides exchanged views on ongoing discussions regarding the implementation of the US–Iran memorandum of understanding and its significance for peace and stability in the Middle East.

He said that the initiation of such talks in Switzerland marks an important first step, adding that Switzerland maintains trusted relations with both Washington and Tehran.
He said that Switzerland stands ready to offer its good offices whenever required, adding that usefulness in an unsettled world remains key to supporting peace and stability across the world.
