Hollywood stars Zendaya and Tom Holland have opened up about a minor injury the actor sustained while filming the upcoming Marvel movie Spider-Man: Brand New Day, with Zendaya praising his determination during the shoot.
The couple, who are set to reprise their roles as MJ and Peter Parker in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, discussed the incident during a recent interview with RTL Live.
When asked whether the injury involved a concussion, Tom Holland downplayed the situation, saying it was not serious.
“It was fine. Things happen,” he said, adding that it was no one’s fault and that he was ultimately okay.
Holland also noted that despite the injury, he chose not to immediately step away from filming.
Zendaya praises his dedication
Zendaya shared that Holland was reluctant to take time off even when his body signaled that he needed rest.
“He didn’t want to take any time off, but his body was telling him to take time off,” she said during the interview.
She jokingly added that he was “Peter Parker-ing,” referring to his character’s heroic instinct to keep going and “save the day” even when rest was necessary.
The real-life couple will next appear together in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, continuing their on-screen roles as Peter Parker and MJ.
The upcoming film is expected to explore a new phase in Peter Parker’s story following the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, with their relationship remaining an emotional core of the franchise.
