Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir have left for Switzerland for technical-level talks, in the wee hours of Sunday.
According to the Prime Minister's Office, the discussions were a follow-up to the signing of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding and are scheduled to take place in Bürgenstock on June 21.

The prime minister and the Field Marshal, both expected to participate in the proceedings. PM Shehbaz departed from Islamabad along with a high-level delegation bound for Switzerland.
Iran's delegation leaves for Switzerland to implement MoU
The Iranian delegation has gone to Switzerland in connection with the implementation of commitments agreed under a memorandum of understanding.
Iranian media reported that the delegation has been designated “Minab 168”, a title associated with schoolgirls.
The delegation includes Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, Ali Bagheri of the Supreme National Security Council Secretariat, Central Bank Governor Abdolnaser Hemmati, Deputy Oil Minister and National Iranian Oil Company head Hamid Bourd, and Foreign Ministry deputies Kazem Gharibabadi and Esmaeil Baqaei, among others.
Esmaeil Baqaei stated that the visit is aimed at advancing implementation of agreed commitments under the memorandum.
He said that agreements are ultimately tested at the stage of implementation, adding that past experience of alleged non-compliance by the other side makes fulfilment of obligations necessary.
