A Lebanese member of parliament, Najat Aoun Saliba said that people in the country are exhausted and have had enough of the killing and destruction affecting their land, families and livelihoods.
Speaking to Al Jazeera, she said, “It is also costing us [the government] a great deal of money and pain. Both Israel and Hezbollah have used Lebanese territory to gain leverage over the war in Iran."
"The hostility between them has brought no real gain on the ground," Saliba added.
She added that she does not believe the cycle should continue, saying the tit-for-tat exchanges and hostility between the two sides will lead nowhere.
