Security forces killed 21 terrorists during multiple operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s North Waziristan district, the Inter-Services Public Relations said.
According to ISPR, the operations were carried out in Miranshah and adjacent sensitive areas after confirmed intelligence reports about the presence of terrorists.
Security forces launched targeted operations in Miranshah and nearby areas of North Waziristan. The ISPR said the operations were intelligence-based and focused on areas where terrorist presence had been confirmed.
Targeted actions by security forces have intensified in the valleys of North Waziristan as part of efforts to eliminate terrorist networks from the region.
Four key ring leaders among those killed
According to ISPR, four key ring leaders were among the 21 foreign terrorists killed in the latest operations. The killed ring leaders were identified as Khalid Raza alias Salar, Muftoon, Musa and Imran alias Ayan.
ISPR described these commanders as the backbone of the terrorist network operating in the area.
Terror network involved in sabotage activities
According to ISPR, the killed terrorists were directly involved in several sabotage activities in the past. They were also organizing a network of unrest in the area, posing a threat to peace and security in North Waziristan and surrounding regions.
After the latest operations, the total number of foreign terrorists killed by security forces in the area has reached 48. A large quantity of arms and ammunition was also recovered during the operations, according to ISPR.
ISPR said clearance and sanitization operations are continuing in the area. The operation is aimed at completely eliminating any remaining threat and ensuring that no terrorist elements are left behind.
