Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif directed on Wednesday the Ministry of National Food Security to supply wheat to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa through the Pakistan Agricultural Storage and Services Corporation (Passco).
Instructions have been issued by the prime minister to the Ministry of National Food Security for the provision of wheat to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa through the Passco.
Federal Minister for National Food Security Rana Tanveer Hussain said the measure is intended to protect the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from the effects of rising prices.
He said directions have already been issued to ensure the immediate and effective supply of wheat through Passco.
Hussain added that the prime minister's decision is a practical step aimed at strengthening food security and providing relief to the public.
