The government and the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) held an important consultation on the Federal Budget 2026-27, according to sources.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar met PPP Chairman Bhutto Zardari to discuss budget-related matters, sources said. Sources said Murad Ali Shah, Naveed Qamar and Sherry Rehman were also present during the meeting.
The participants held detailed discussions on matters related to the Federal Budget 2026-27. Sources said Bhutto-Zardari placed the PPP's concerns regarding the budget before Ishaq Dar during the meeting.
Funding for development schemes in Sindh also came under discussion, sources added. Sources said Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah presented his demands relating to Sindh's affairs.
Following the meeting, Bhutto-Zardari is expected to brief President Asif Ali Zardari on the discussions, according to sources.
