Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar expressed hope that ongoing dialogue between the United States and Iran will continue for lasting peace.
He emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to facilitating diplomatic efforts in the region.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said it is encouraging that both parties engaged in talks and showed willingness to move forward.
He noted that delegations from both the United States and Iran visited Pakistan for negotiations, and expressed gratitude to both sides for their participation.
Dar stressed that maintaining the ceasefire agreement between the two countries is crucial for regional and global stability.
Constructive talks and diplomatic efforts
According to Dar, several rounds of “positive and constructive” discussions took place between the delegations.
He added that he personally participated in multiple sessions alongside the Field Marshal, with the talks continuing for 24 hours before concluding earlier in the day.
Dar highlighted that Pakistan will continue to facilitate communication between the two sides.
He also appreciated the approval of the ceasefire, noting that it came at the request of Pakistan’s Prime Minister.
The foreign minister expressed hope that both countries will move forward with a positive approach to ensure lasting peace.
He credited Pakistan’s leadership, including the Prime Minister and military leadership, for their efforts in reducing tensions and encouraging dialogue.
Dar reiterated his gratitude to both the US and Iranian delegations for engaging in the negotiation process.
