South Korean authorities have claimed that North Korea is working on the development of a new intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM).
According to officials in South Korea, recent engine tests are part of preparations to build weapons capable of carrying multiple warheads, signaling an advancement in North Korea’s strategic capabilities. They also noted signs of growing distance between North Korea and Iran.
South Korean authorities further stated that due to the ongoing conflict involving Iran, North Korea is facing shortages of industrial equipment, which could impact its weapons development programs.
Additionally, reports suggest that the daughter of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un is increasingly being viewed as a potential successor, indicating possible future shifts in the country’s leadership.
