British pop star Dua Lipa has raised concerns over how the Jeffrey Epstein case is being covered, saying victims are being overlooked in public discussions.
Speaking on her Service95 podcast, Dua Lipa criticized the way the Epstein case is discussed in media and public forums.
She said that coverage often focuses on sensational aspects and famous names instead of the experiences of survivors.
Focus should be on victims, not headlines
The singer stressed that many victims were young girls and deserve greater empathy.
“I keep thinking about all the stories that talk about the underage girls and the sex parties, rather than writing about the victims that were children who were trafficked,” she said.
Lipa added that the language used in reporting has done a “disservice” to those affected.
What are Epstein files?
The Epstein files refer to documents linked to the crimes of Jeffrey Epstein, who died in 2019.
The case exposed a network involving allegations of trafficking and abuse, with multiple individuals named in connection with the scandal.
Epstein’s associate, Ghislaine Maxwell, is currently serving a prison sentence for her role in the case.
Several high-profile figures have been mentioned in the files, including Bill Clinton, Donald Trump, and Bill Gates, among others.
