Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Hina Parvez Butt has criticised singer Falak Shabir after he called on Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz to introduce a law concerning people wearing short clothes in public.
In a post on X, formerly Twitter, Hina said she could not understand why people such as Falak Shabir remained preoccupied with women’s clothing. She said that in Istanbul, people did not comment on what women wore, whereas in Pakistan many individuals took to social media to pass remarks on women’s attire.

Hina maintained that such attitudes were among the factors hindering Pakistan’s progress and development.
She urged people to focus on their own affairs, saying society would benefit greatly if individuals stopped interfering in the personal choices of others.
