Qatar has welcomed the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding between the United States and Iran, terming it as a renewed affirmation of both sides’ commitment to resolving differences through negotiation and peaceful means.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar said it greatly appreciated the partnership and efforts of Pakistan and other regional and international parties in easing tensions and bridging differences, which led to the signing of the memorandum.
The ministry said the MoU provides a solid basis for advancing the next phase of talks between the American and Iranian sides.
It reaffirmed Qatar’s continued support for all good offices aimed at strengthening regional security and stability, and for achieving lasting solutions through dialogue in accordance with international law and good neighbourliness.
