Lieutenant General William Agyapong, Chief of Defence Staff of the Republic of Ghana, called on Chief of Defence Staff and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir at General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the visiting dignitary was presented with a Guard of Honour by a smartly turned-out tri-services contingent upon his arrival at GHQ.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed matters of mutual interest, regional security and bilateral defence cooperation.
Pakistan and Ghana agreed to expand cooperation in military training, counter-terrorism and defence production.
The Ghanaian military chief praised the professionalism of the Pakistan Armed Forces and acknowledged their role in regional stability.
Separately, Abdul Razak Osman, National Security Coordinator of the Republic of Ghana, called on Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf at Naval Headquarters in Islamabad.
He also met Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu at Air Headquarters.
Lieutenant General William Agyapong was also present during the meetings.
