Left-hand batter Maaz Sadaqat has been ruled out of action for at least two weeks following an emergency laparoscopic appendectomy at a hospital in Lahore,
According to the Pakistan Cricket Board Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the player experienced severe abdominal pain on Sunday morning, after which medical scans confirmed acute appendicitis. Doctors, in consultation with the PCB medical panel, advised immediate surgery.
He was also withdrawn from the ongoing final of the National T20 Cup 2025-26 at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Sunday.
Maaz Sadaqat had been training with the Abbottabad squad on Saturday night as a replacement for Fakhar Zaman, and was earlier named among 27 players for the white-ball camp scheduled to begin on 15 June at the National Cricket Academy.
He will be included in the camp only after full recovery and clearance from the PCB medical panel.
