Unofficial and incomplete results from various polling stations across Gilgit-Baltistan have begun to arrive.
The process of receiving non-final and unofficial results from the Gilgit-Baltistan elections has started.
Gilgit (GBA-1): Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) candidate Amjad Hussain was leading with 9,272 votes. Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Shafiquddin was on the second position, with 5,791 votes.
Gilgit (GBA-2): In GBA-2, the complete unofficial final result showed Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz candidate Hafeez ur Rehman has secured victory with 11,204 votes. Pakistan Peoples Party candidate Jamil Ahmed remained in second place with 7,376 votes.
Gilgit (GBA-3): In the GBA-3 constituency of Gilgit-Baltistan, independent candidate Syed Sohail Abbas secured victory after obtaining 7,853 votes. Pakistan Peoples Party candidate Aftab Haider stood second with 7,434 votes, while Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz candidate Dr Iqbal came third with 7,292 votes.
Nagar (GBA-4): Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) candidate Ali Akhtar has emerged victorious after clinching 7,670 votes. Meanwhile, Islami Tehreek Pakistan candidate Ayub Waziri has secured the second position, with 6,566 votes.
Nagar (GBA-5): Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Zulfiqar Murad has emerged victorious by clinching 2,628 votes. Meanwhile, independent candidate Riyaz Akbar has secured the second position after garnering 2,394 votes.
Hunza (GBA-6): Independent candidate Naiknam Karim is leading, while independent candidate Raja Nazeem-ul-Amin is behind.
Skardu (GBA-7): Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) candidate Tauqeer Mehdi has emerged victorious by bagging 4,320 votes. Meanwhile, Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) candidate Jalal Hussain has secured the second position after securing 3,891 votes.
Skardu (GBA-8): The complete, unofficial and unfinalised result for GBA-8 Skardu has been received. According to the count, the MWM candidate Kazim Mesam secured 10,474 votes and stood successful. The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) candidate Syed Muhammad Ali Shah obtained 10,118 votes and came second.
Skardu (GBA-9): Independent candidate Wazir Saleem is leading, while PPP candidate Fida Noshad is behind.
Skardu (GBA-10): IPP candidate Muhammad Wazir Khan is ahead, while PML-N candidate Wazir Hassan is trailing.
Kharmang (GBA-11): Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) candidate Iqbal Hassan has secured 6,141 votes to emerge victorious. Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Mohsin Rizvi has secured the second position, with 4,170 votes.
Shigar (GBA-12): The complete, unofficial and unfinalised result for GBA-12 Shigar has also been received. The Pakistan Peoples Party candidate Imran Nadeem secured 12,179 votes and stood successful. The Islami Tehreek Pakistan candidate Raja Azam Khan obtained 7,700 votes and came second.
Astore (GBA-13): Unofficial results from 36 of 57 polling stations show PML-N candidate Rana Farman Ali ahead with 5,506 votes. Independent candidate Shahida Khurshid is second with 5,485 votes, while PPP candidate Fahad Hanif is third with 4,803 votes.
Astore (GBA-14): IPP candidate Shams Lone is leading, while PML-N candidate Rana Farooq is trailing.
Diamer (GBA-15): Independent candidate Dilpazeer is ahead, while the IPP candidate is behind.
Diamer (GBA-16): In GBA-16, the results from all polling stations have been received. Independent candidate Syed Imam Malik secured 6,664 votes to win the seat. Pakistan Peoples Party candidate Attaullah finished second with 5,273 votes.
Diamer (GBA-17): PPP candidate Muhammad Naseem is ahead, while JUI-F candidate Rehmat Khaliq is behind.
Diamer (GBA-18): IPP candidate Gulbar is leading, while PML-N candidate Malik Kifayat is trailing.
Ghizer (GBA-19): The unofficial and unconfirmed result of GBA-19 has been issued. Pakistan Peoples Party candidate Syed Jalal Shah secured victory with 9,613 votes. Independent candidate Nawaz Khan stood second with 8,210 votes.
Ghizer (GBA-20): PML-N candidate Abdul Jahan is leading, while PPP candidate Nazir Ahmed is trailing.
Ghizer (GBA-21): PML-N candidate Ghulam Muhammad is ahead, while PPP candidate Ayub Shah is behind.
Ghanche (GBA-22): According to unofficial results, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidate Muhammad Ibrahim has emerged victorious by clinching 12,048 votes. Meanwhile, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) candidate Ashiq Hussain has secured the second spot, with 9,258 votes.
Ghanche (GBA-23): Independent candidate Anwar Ali has secured victory after bagging 12,090 votes. Meanwhile, independent candidate Abdul Hameed has secured second position, after he garnered 3,870 votes.
Ghanche (GBA-24): Independent candidate Asad Shafiq has emerged victorious by clinching 8,092 votes. Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Muhammad Ismail secured the second position by picking up 5,072 votes.
GB CEC on polling
Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Election Commissioner Raja Shahbaz Khan said he visited several polling stations and reviewed the electoral process.
He thanked voters for their participation in large numbers and said polling continued at stations where voters were still present at closing time.
He said more than 15,000 security personnel had been deployed for election duty and described the elections as historic.
According to him, voter turnout reached around 70 per cent, exceeding the level recorded in the 2020 elections.
Raja Shahbaz Khan said no complaints had been received and added that polling across Gilgit-Baltistan had been conducted in a peaceful environment.
