The Gilgit-Baltistan Election Commission has directed that certified copies of Form-45 must be provided to polling agents of candidates present at polling stations.
It has also instructed that unverified reports regarding the issuance of Form-45 should not be broadcast. The Election Commission further stated that political claims should not be aired without proper verification.
According to the GB's electoral watchdog, the Form 45 is being issued at polling stations where the counting process has been completed.
It added that the process is being carried out in accordance with the Election Act 2017 and the relevant provisions of the Election Rules 2017. All Returning Officers have been requested to ensure that the instructions are implemented in their true spirit.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan Peoples Party has claimed that Form 45 was not being provided during the Gilgit-Baltistan elections.
PPP Secretary General Nayyar Hussain Bukhari said that the party was not being supplied Form 45 in Gilgit-Baltistan and that party representatives were being asked to leave for the time being.
He added that he had contacted the Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Election Commissioner and informed him of the matter, stating that the elections were held in a peaceful environment and should not be disrupted.
He maintained that the electoral watchdog should immediately perform its due role.
