Funeral prayers of Pakistan Army officer Major Adeel Zaman, who was martyred during a security operation in Bajaur, were offered at the Peshawar Garrison.
According to ISPR, the funeral prayer was attended by Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir. Federal Interior Minister, Corps Commander Peshawar and a large number of military officials and civilians were also present.
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir paid rich tribute to the supreme sacrifice of Major Adeel Zaman Shaheed, stating that the martyrs of the Pakistan Army are the pride of the nation and their sacrifices will always be remembered.
ISPR said the Field Marshal prayed for the elevation of the martyr’s ranks and for patience and strength for the bereaved family.
Major Adeel Zaman Shaheed will be laid to rest with full military honors in Dera Ismail Khan.
Later, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir visited CMH Peshawar, where he met officers and soldiers injured during the operation. He praised their courage, resilience and professional commitment, and expressed best wishes for their swift recovery.
According to ISPR, the Pakistan Armed Forces remain fully committed to eliminating terrorism from the country, and the sacrifices of martyrs and veterans continue to strengthen this resolve.
