Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal said Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif always pursued principled politics and gave priority to national development.
Expressing his thoughts, Iqbal said Nawaz Sharif consistently followed a politics of principles, adding that Nawaz Sharif prioritised the construction and development of the country.
He said Nawaz Sharif ranked among the most influential politicians in the country, adding that Nawaz Sharif sought to give the national economy a new direction.
The planning minister added that Nawaz Sharif introduced economic reforms, saying had Nawaz Sharif been given ten uninterrupted years, he would have surpassed Mahathir Mohamad as a leader.
He said that a “wheelchair game” was played during the 1990s. The planning minister said Nawaz Sharif was repeatedly removed from power.
Iqbal said that after coming into power in 2013, Nawaz Sharif stabilised Pakistan, adding that Nawaz Sharif was disqualified in 2017 as part of a 'conspiracy'.
He said that in 2018 an inexperienced individual was imposed on the country, damaging development.
Iqbal said the national economy was progressing rapidly during Nawaz Sharif’s tenure.
He said that in 2018 an unfit person was imposed on the country and the nation. Iqbal added Nawaz Sharif laid a network of motorways across the country.
Iqbal maintained that Pakistan achieved a major victory against India in Marka-e-Haq.
He said the brave armed forces crushed the enemy’s arrogance, adding that Nawaz Sharif delivered major development projects to the country.
Iqbal said Nawaz Sharif introduced economic reforms, adding that Nawaz Sharif’s development model was adopted by other countries.
