Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar said on Saturday that if PTI members claim they do not support the founder Imran Khan's statement, they can be engaged in dialogue.
Speaking on the Samaa TV programme "Do Tok with Kiran Naz", Tarar said: "The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister is respectable to us. When the KP CM comes to Adiala, he will be asked to leave. Sohail Afridi will be sent back from the checkpoint."
He said that the KP CM was not mandated to wait outside Adiala. He said that his mandate is to focus on law and order. He added that standing outside Adiala or making TikTok videos would violate this mandate. Arrests of Imran Khan' sisters, who arrive cannot be ruled out, Tarar maintained.
Speaking about Azma Khan's meeting with Imran Khan, Tarar said the meeting was arranged to prevent tweeting. Tarar added that Azma Khan's meeting was arranged so that no political discussion would take place. He said politics should not jeopardise the country, and permission cannot be given to endanger national security.
Tarar said that until the PTI withdraws statements against national security, no dialogue can take place, adding that the PTI has been given ample opportunity for talks.
The minister said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif has never overstepped limits. He added that when he criticised Shahid Khaqan, Nawaz Sharif advised him not to speak against him, saying Nawaz Sharif never made false accusations.
