Lieutenant General Fahad bin Saud, Commander of the Royal Saudi Forces, visited the General Headquarters (GHQ) of the Pakistan Army and met with Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir to discuss ways to enhance defense cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting, matters of mutual interest, regional security, and strategies to deepen Pakistan-Saudi military collaboration were discussed.
The Saudi commander praised the professionalism of the Pakistan Army and acknowledged the country’s positive role in promoting regional peace and stability.
Both military leaders reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthen the long-standing and brotherly military ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. As part of the official visit, Lieutenant General Fahd bin Saud was presented with a Guard of Honor at GHQ.
The visit highlights the ongoing efforts by both countries to maintain close defense relations and support regional security initiatives.
Earlier, Badr Ahmed Mohamed Abdelatty, Foreign Minister of Egypt, called on Field Marshal Asim Munir in Rawalpindi.
Both leaders reviewed bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, with a particular focus on defence and security cooperation, military-to-military contacts, training collaborations, and regional peace and stability.
