Two more injured of the Hyderabad firecracker factory explosion died in a Karachi hospital, raising the death toll from the blast and fire to 9.
According to details, the police confirmed that the deceased were Shiraz, 45, and Naeem, 35. A case under the Anti-Terrorism Act now stands registered, although police have made no arrests. The individuals responsible remain outside the reach of the law.
The FIR, lodged at B-Section police station, includes sections relating to terrorism, manslaughter by cause and negligence. Police raids in several areas continue in an effort to secure arrests.
Authorities feared that the factory owner also died after sustaining severe burns. Work to clear the debris of the destroyed factory continues, and several human body parts have already been recovered. Four victims have been identified.
