In the US state of Utah, a worn-out car received a remarkable farewell when a massive pumpkin was dropped on it from a height of about 14 storeys, crushing it completely.
Alan Gebert said that his 1991 Geo Metro finally stopped working this year, so he decided to say goodbye to it in a special way — by destroying it under a giant pumpkin.
The pumpkin, weighing 1,917 pounds, had won first place in the heaviest pumpkin competition at the Utah Giant Pumpkin Festival. It was lifted by a crane at Hee Haw Farms in Pleasant Grove to a height of around 14 storeys before being released onto the 35-year-old car, flattening its roof entirely.
Gebert said he and his wife had talked about the idea for quite some time, and this seemed the perfect way to carry it out.
