Pakistan secured the bronze medal at the Under-18 Hockey Asia Cup in Japan after defeating Malaysia 3-0 in the third-place play-off on Saturday.
Pakistan registered a comfortable 3-0 victory to finish third in the tournament. Azhar Ahmed opened the scoring for Pakistan, while Assam Haider added a second goal from a penalty stroke. Adeel scored the third goal to complete the win.
Malaysia failed to find the net during the match.
The final of the Under-18 Hockey Asia Cup between India and Japan is scheduled to take place later today at 3:00pm.
