Security forces killed three Indian-backed terrorists during an intelligence-based operation in North Waziristan, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The operation was launched on confirmed reports, preventing a major terrorist attack. During the exchange of fire, three militants were killed.
According to the ISPR, the terrorists were affiliated with hostile agencies and had been involved in several attacks on security forces and civilians. A vehicle prepared for a suicide attack was also destroyed during the operation.
Following the action, clearance and sanitisation operations are continuing in the area to ensure the elimination of any remaining threats.
Under the "Operation Azm-e-Istehkam" vision, such actions will continue until the complete eradication of terrorism. The ISPR affirmed that security forces remain determined to root out terrorism from the country.
