Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif chaired a meeting of the government negotiation committee following the successful conclusion of talks in Azad Kashmir.
The meeting focused on reviewing the outcomes of the negotiation process and the next steps for addressing the region’s development and public concerns.
The meeting was attended by senior government figures, including Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, Rana Sanaullah, Ahsan Iqbal, Muhammad Aurangzeb, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, Ahad Khan Cheema, and the chairman of the Youth Program Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan.
PM commends negotiation committee’s efforts
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the committee for its dedicated efforts to resolve issues in Azad Kashmir amicably, emphasizing that the outcome reflected the government’s commitment to dialogue and peace.
“The negotiation committee deserves appreciation for resolving the matters with wisdom and patience,” the PM said, acknowledging the role of all stakeholders in reaching a peaceful understanding.
He further noted that the Joint Action Committee also displayed commendable understanding and cooperation for the development and prosperity of Kashmir, which the government greatly values.
All concerns of Kashmiris to be addressed
Reaffirming his government’s commitment to the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, PM Shehbaz said that all issues were resolved amicably and the concerns of the Kashmiri people will be fully addressed.
He reiterated that the government will continue to take steps to resolve the challenges faced by its Kashmiri brothers, prioritizing public welfare and peace above all.
“Public interest and peace are our foremost priorities, and we will continue to serve the people of Azad Kashmir with sincerity and dedication,” the premier stated.
Commitment to Kashmir’s development and prosperity
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed his resolve to stand by the people of Kashmir, highlighting that his government has always prioritized Kashmir’s issues and addressed them on an urgent basis.
He stressed that Pakistan has always been and will remain a protector of the rights of its Kashmiri brothers, promising that his administration will continue efforts to ensure development, prosperity, and peace in Azad Kashmir in line with the aspirations of its people.
“The issues of Azad Kashmir have always been close to my heart. My government has resolved them in the past and will continue to do so in the future,” he said.
