Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari criticised on Wednesday the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), saying the party led by a woman is now speaking against a woman.
Responding to PPP leader Qamar Zaman Kaira’s press conference, Bokhari said that the PPP appeared to be competing in holding press conferences. She questioned the party’s claim that it was not politicising the issue of flood victims in Punjab.

Bokhari said that such personal attacks invite equivalent replies. She said the PPP should focus more on its own affairs than raising questions about the popularity and direction of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
Commenting further, the Punjab information minister said the PPP was free to use the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) in Sindh.
She emphasised that Punjab did not require anyone’s advice regarding the expenditure of its resources. She said the treasury and resources of Punjab belong to the people of Punjab.
