Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will leave the United Kingdom tomorrow for New York to attend the 89th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
He is scheduled to address the General Assembly on 26 September, presenting Pakistan’s stance on Palestine, Kashmir, climate change, the economy and the challenges faced by developing countries.
Prior to this, the Prime Minister will take part in the summit on the two-state solution for Palestine in New York on 22 September. He will underline the unity of the Muslim Ummah, support for the Palestinian people and call for a global consensus against Israeli aggression.
The Prime Minister is expected to meet US President Donald Trump, the UN Secretary-General, world leaders, heads of Islamic states and representatives of international organisations.
He will depart New York on 27 September and return to Pakistan via the United Kingdom on 29 September.
