The Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) across Pakistan has been rescheduled due to the ongoing flood situation. The exam, earlier set for October 5, will now take place on Sunday, October 26, authorities confirmed.
Exam date changed for students’ convenience
According to the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC), the decision was taken on the instructions of Federal Health Minister Mustafa Kamal. The minister said the change was made in the interest of students facing difficulties in flood-hit areas.
The council further clarified that the new date was finalized after consultation with universities across the country to ensure all stakeholders agreed on the revised schedule.
Earlier schedule and new timeline
The MDCAT was originally scheduled for October 5, but severe flooding across multiple regions has hindered preparation and travel for thousands of candidates. By moving the exam to October 26, officials aim to give students additional time and relief.
