A passenger has served a legal notice to a private airline after being mistakenly flown toc instead of Karachi due to alleged negligence.
The incident occurred on July 7, when the passenger, Shahzain, who was scheduled to travel from Lahore to Karachi, was instead flown to Jeddah by the airline. He said that due to this error, he was forced to endure questioning by Saudi immigration authorities as he had no valid travel documents for international travel.
The passenger said that the airline’s serious negligence caused considerable distress and additional financial burden. He has demanded reimbursement for the extra travel expenses incurred.
Shah Zain sent a legal notice to the airline’s management under the Sindh Consumer Protection Act 2014, holding them accountable for the mishap and seeking a formal explanation along with compensation.
