The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has strongly condemned the Supreme Court’s latest verdict in the reserved seats review case, calling it a blatant denial of justice, a betrayal of constitutional principles, and a continuation of state-led suppression against the party.
Reacting to the majority judgement that upheld the allocation of 77 reserved seats to coalition parties, the PTI declared the day a "dark chapter in constitutional history" and accused the judiciary of siding with the ruling elite while robbing the party of its rightful mandate.
In an official statement, the PTI said: “Today, once again, our constitutional right has been stolen by a court bench. We are the same PTI whose entitlement to special seats was once accepted in the light of the Constitution — but now, the same court has overturned that decision.”

"This is another serious chapter in the state policy of crushing the PTI," it maintained.
'Reserved seats distributed like loot'
The PTI further alleged that its reserved seats had been "boldly snatched away" and "distributed like loot among the parties rejected by the people." The party termed the verdict not just judicial overreach but also an "open attack on democracy and the right to vote".

“This is not just a judgement — it’s a message that in today’s Pakistan, voting for Imran Khan or PTI has become an unforgivable sin,” the statement read. "It has been proven that these courts are not for the PTI, but only for the convenience of the elite."
According to the PTI, the real reason for denying the party its seats was its public mandate: “The people’s mandate was discarded because it belonged to the party's founder. This is not a people's, democratic, or constitutional state anymore — it is an elite-controlled system where speaking the truth is a crime and demanding justice is rebellion.”
Kanwal Shozab criticises bench formation
Speaking outside the Supreme Court, PTI leader Kanwal Shozab expressed serious reservations over the judicial process. She questioned the impartiality of the constitutional bench, saying: “The bench formed under the 26th Constitutional Amendment has, in fact, defeated the Constitution itself.”
There were doubts and suspicions on the bench since the day it was formed, she claimed, insisting that these seats have been snatched from the PTI today.

'Lost hope in courts, not in people'
Despite expressing disappointment in the judiciary, the PTI vowed to continue its political struggle. “Every door of justice may have been shut, but they can’t lock our hearts or silence our voices. We’ve lost faith in courts, but never in the people,” the statement concluded.
