Dr. Lubna Zaheer, Chairperson of the PEMRA Council of Complaints (Punjab), chaired an important meeting at the regional PEMRA office, where several complaints against television and radio channels were thoroughly reviewed and decided.
The meeting was attended by council members and relevant stakeholders. Complaints under review involved allegations of content violations, ethical breaches, and non-compliance with PEMRA’s code of conduct by certain media outlets.
Each case was examined individually, with both complainants and media representatives given the opportunity to present their arguments. After detailed deliberation, the Council issued its decisions, recommending necessary actions and advising PEMRA on enforcement measures.
The session concluded with a reaffirmed commitment to transparency, fairness, and the upholding of ethical standards in media content regulation.
