A potentially devastating fire at a petrol station in Kuwait was swiftly contained by staff who acted with courage and promptness.
The incident occurred at a petrol station in the Qasr area of Jahra Governorate, where a car caught fire unexpectedly during refuelling.
According to available information, the vehicle's engine suddenly ignited while the driver was refuelling. Although initially panicked, the driver quickly removed the nozzle from the fuel tank. However, the situation escalated rapidly.
Local reports state that several petrol station employees took immediate action. One staff member promptly used a fire extinguisher to douse the flames emerging from the engine. At the same time, another employee climbed into the car and, with assistance from colleagues, managed to push the burning vehicle away from the fuel dispensers.
When the fire reignited, a team from the Kuwait Fire Force arrived within minutes. They successfully extinguished the blaze and secured the area.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and the damage was limited to the vehicle alone.
