Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan's sister, Aleema Khan has proposed "give and take" deal for the deposed prime minister's release.
Speaking to media outside the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday, Aleema said: "Tell us what you want – what should he offer? What has he done to deserve this? Why target him? “We still don’t know what you want from him after two years. Tell us what he should give up to be released. Stop hiding behind the curtain – talk to us directly”, she said.
“We are ready to talk openly and honestly”, Aleema Khan said.
She asserted that his only ‘fault’ is following his own righteous path: “His [Imran Khan's] so-called crime is that he follows his own principles.”
Highlighting positive initiatives, she said “The Al-Qadir Trust University is teaching Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH).
She urged openness: “Face us and speak directly. Don’t operate in secrecy.”
Aleema said: “Do not threaten judges or members of parliament.”
