The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has rejected all four miscellaneous pleas of PTI in the intra-party case.
The ECP rejected PTI's objection to the ECP's jurisdiction in intra-party elections. The electoral body also rejected PTI's adjournment request in the intra-party election case.
The request for postponement of intra-party elections in certain seats until the decision of the commission was also rejected. ECP directed PTI to FIA to refer to court for the return of documents taken from the party office.
Under Section 208 of the Election Act, 2017, it is the commission's responsibility to review the legal requirements for intra-party elections.
It is ECP’s responsibility to see the facts of the issuance of the certificate under Section 209-3, as per the written decision.
