Former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has clarified that Mahmood Khan Achakzai, head of the Pashtun Khawa Milli Awami Party (PKMAP), has not been assigned to negotiate with the establishment on his behalf.
Speaking to the media from Adiala Jail on Saturday, he emphasized that while PTI is open to discussions within the framework of the constitution, the party’s mandate must first be restored.
“I have not given Mahmood Khan Achakzai the task of negotiating with the establishment. He will only be involved in talks with political parties,” Khan stated.
When asked about potential negotiations with the current government, the PTI founder dismissed the notion, asserting that the government’s end is inevitable once four constituencies are opened for scrutiny.
Khan also criticized the previous largest protest movement, which he said ultimately retreated despite strong initial demands for respect for the vote.
The former Prime Minister declined to comment on Sher Afazl Marwat when questioned.
