Member of national selection committee Mohammad Yousuf on Tuesday named South African cricket coach Gary Kirsten as the head coach prior to the Pakistan Cricket Board's (PCB) announcement.
Addressing a press conference, the former batting maestro had taken the name of upcoming head coach as he named Kirsten.
Meanwhile, for the upcoming T20I home series against New Zealand, former Pakistan all-rounder Azhar Mahmood has been appointed as the head coach.
According to sources, it was expected that the permanent head coach would be announced by the end of April.
Earlier, the PCB had announce Pakistan squad for the forthcoming home series against New Zealand.
